There is no second take, like in a film. We are creators. There is no failure. A fall is just the preparation for the practice to get on your feet. In order to run, to fly&#8230;</p><p>We are the source of the flow we follow. That is the <strong>essence of improvisation</strong>. Breathing in the ever unknown present (yes, a present!), unprepared in that sense, if we are excited and curious. It is the first and last chance to fathom the depth of the present&#8217;s towering challenge (Yes, it&#8217;s like poetry). <strong>Challenge of </strong>unforeseen<strong> clairvoyance</strong>. That&#8217;s what Zen also is about. Not the chains and handcuffs of control freakiness produced by fear.</p><p><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FdfaY7Vfb7g&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FdfaY7Vfb7g&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></p><p>Breathing out our presence and presentation &#8230;</p><p>It is the challenge to give every second, every breath, every heartbeat, every action, thought, situation and emotion the freedom of it&#8217;s uniqueness and generosity.</p><p>One grows with the flow, you know. Grows wings too! For the imagination and the joy of being on this planet. Often in spite of a lot of nasty, ugly, stupid, evil shit happening around us and to us. The art of improvisation is dealing <strong>unprepared</strong> with the <strong>unforeseen</strong>. That&#8217;s contained in the etymology of the word itself. Unforeseen, but always unprepared, because seen it is no longer as it was foreseen.</p><p>By the way, if you think about it, your conception was an improvisation too, even if you were planned.</p><p>Having gained this freedom of flow and improvisation, reality starts improvising too, because it does no longer have to resist the interpretation forced upon her.</p><p><img src="http://www.henrivanzanten.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/dodo500.gif" alt="Dodo landing" /></p><p>For example this landing dodo, being the result of a bottle of sour milk I knocked over by accident, while I was laying in utter despair and depression on my coach, suicidal even in my disbelief in any meaning in life, my life etc. Totally unable to be creative. And see what happened.</p><p>Improvisation is the natural ability to be part of the unknown, to be amazed, to accept that questions aren&#8217;t always necessary, that interpretations can be destructive, that being itself is enough to give the mystery a reason to shine&#8230;</p><p>Enough for now. We don&#8217;t possess our life, we should be possessed by life. And death is our bodyguard anyway. We share the convergence of matter, emptiness and a stuttering second we call eternity. We don&#8217;t need <strong>future</strong> to be complete. No <strong>past</strong> to make pain last. The <strong>present</strong> we do need, to become our <strong>presence</strong> in such a way that it&#8217;s a present to pass on&#8230;.and I pass on my presence as Omniartist, with improvised and improvisational interpretations of theater, music, writing, visual arts, video, television, graphic design, journal, webactivities and yet unknown expressions. The Hamletmachine is an ideological requiem, written by the East German dissident <strong>Heiner MÃ¼ller</strong> in 1977.</p><p>I staged it 13 x since 1981. Doing it in <strong>Jena</strong> was a special experience. There was still the smell of <strong>Stasi</strong> and distrust. Using staccato cut video clips projected on them and the soundtracks as accompaniment for their freestyle and Sprechgesang. Of course the reactionary members of the audience said it was old-fashioned and had been done before. But those living in the present took the improvised presentation of the PRC&#8217;s definition, ideology and style, all in their own way. This was just a modest warming up.It served as dissonant/dissident upbeat for <a title="everything you always wanted to know about FTW" href="http://www.fuckthewriter.com" target="_blank"><strong>Fuck the Writer&#8217;s</strong> </a>first appearance with the new line up of his band the Illiterates and with repertoire from their coming cd. The brilliant, lively and critcal songs of FTW were welcomed like a spring rain. When FTW said Punk didn&#8217;t exist anymore, he actually used a punk-like provocation and a historical definition of the term <strong><a title="surprising etymological definitions of punk" href="http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=Punk&amp;searchmode=none" target="_blank">punk</a></strong>. Prof. Sidhy is operating from a far wider interpretation. It was a selfportrait in the <strong>context of collaborations</strong>. The intention was to take part in the shooting of Pet Safari &#8211; initiated by Lime Design &#8211; in which Ziegenmalte&#8217;s cat Lilith would be the star. Well she was! A real diva: she had no interest in our Holly- or Bollywood-like attention. So in a break, Otto and Helmuth struck upon the irritating item of <strong>psychoanalysis</strong>. Probably because we were trying to understand <strong>Lilith&#8217;s neurosis</strong>, outsmarted as we were by her straightforwardness. Then Otto Wensinck had a brainwave. That&#8217;s were the camera started rolling and <strong>Cactoanalysis</strong> was born. So now enjoy the discovery of a new way of looking at, handling and understanding human nature and psyche.</p><p>It&#8217;s a great honour to have <strong>special guest Otto Wensinck</strong>on my site. I remember walking her home, more or less tired and excited, both of us sexually united by the materialization of the maculate concept. Our farewell kiss was worthy to have been painted by <strong>Rob Scholte</strong>.
